Arches National Park – Located in Moab, Utah, Arches is one of the most popular National Parks not only in Utah, but in the U.S. Visitors enjoy over 73,000 acres of natural beauty in the form of sandstone fins, balanced rocks, hoodoos, and of course arches.

Bryce Canyon National Park – There are at least as many trees as there are hoodoos in Bryce Canyon. Enjoy a short hike or a long hike through the gorgeous and unique landscape of the canyon. There are many points of interest on the drive as well.

Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival

What would spring be without thousands of blooming flowers? Thanksgiving Point is famous for its annual Tulip Festival. Visit a Museum

Spring weather is unpredictable in Utah and sometimes you need an indoor experience for your family. Utah is home to many hands-on museums perfect for all ages. 

Natural History Museum – The museum features several exhibits and plenty of education for visitors. You’ll find state of the art collections including exhibits about the first people living in the area, gems and minerals, and much more. 

The Leonardo – The combination of science and technology makes The Leonardo a unique experience. You’ll find hands-on displays designed to inspire creativity. It’s a fantastic experience for the whole family. 

Clark Planetarium – The exhibits are free to the public, but many visitors enjoy the full dome experience or the IMAX theater. Explore space and enjoy a fun, family friendly outing.

Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum – Located down the street from Clark Planetarium, make a day of adventure when you also visit the children’s museum. This discovery center is the perfect place for children of all ages and abilities to explore, imagine, and discover the world around them. 

Natural History Museum |

Hill Aerospace Museum – Located on the northwest corner of Hill Air Force Base, the museum has more than 70 aircraft on display as well as thousands of artifacts depicting the history of aviation. 

Thanksgiving Point –  For the ultimate spring experience, visiting Thanksgiving Point is perfect. You’ll find two museums, The Museum of Ancient Life and The Museum of Natural Curiosity, as well as a farm experience, gardens, and more! Your family will have plenty to do all day long.

Adventure with Animals

Everyone loves baby animals in the spring. Take your family on an animal adventure at one of these locations.

Hogle Zoo – The zoo is home to over 800 animals and is perfect for a day of exploration. You’ll find animal encounters, rides and attractions, and tons of education. 

Tracy Aviary – The aviary is the largest and oldest of only two free standing aviaries in the U.S. Families enjoy interactive exhibits and learning about the importance of caring for birds and nature through conservation. You won’t find an experience like this anywhere else. 

Wheeler Historic Farm – Everybody loves a day at the farm! Admission is free and you can explore the farm at your leisure. Feed the ducks, learn about milking cows, and have a family picnic. There’s also a large playground and plenty of picnic tables. 

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium – The aquarium features both outdoor and indoor experiences and education. Visitors also enjoy the penguin encounter or the stingray encounter. There is always something new to discover at the aquarium.
